Né en 1979, Sébastien Vichard étudie le piano et le pianoforte au Conservatoire de Paris (CNSMDP).
Pianiste à l’Ensemble intercontemporain depuis 2006 il a collaboré avec de nombreux compositeurs : Pierre Boulez, Peter Eötvös, Pascal Dusapin, Beat Furrer, Philippe Manoury, Marco Stroppa, Eliott Carter, Philippe Schoeller, Elliott Carter, Philippe Hurel, pour ne citer qu’eux.
Sébastien Vichard se produit régulièrement en soliste sur de grandes scènes internationales (Philharmonie de Paris, Royal Festival Hall de Londres, Concertgebouw d’Amsterdam, Suginami Kôkaidô à Tokyo, etc.).
De tous ses professeurs (Alain Martin, Sylvaine Billier, Denis Pascal, Jean Koerner, Patrick Cohen) il a notamment hérité une passion de l’enseignement qu’il exerce aux Conservatoires Nationaux de Paris et de Lyon.

He has given solo performances at the Royal Festival Hall in London, at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Berliner Festspiele, the Kölner Philharmonie, the Suginami Kôkaidô in Tokyo and at the Philharmonie de Paris-Cité de la musique.
Sébastien Vichard has been member of the Ensemble intercontemporain since 2006 and teaches piano at the Conservatoire national supérieur musique et danse de Lyon.
